Background

During World Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness Week (WAAW) 2025, WHO will convene a global webinar to launch the Integrated drug resistance action framework for HIV, hepatitis B and C and sexually transmitted infections, 2026–2030.

Antimicrobial resistance continues to threaten progress in controlling HIV, viral hepatitis, and sexually transmitted infections (STIs). For the first time, this Framework brings these disease areas together under a single vision – one that promotes coordinated prevention, surveillance, innovation, and governance to sustain health gains and prepare for future threats.

this webinar will highlight the urgency of collective action to safeguard life-saving treatments and ensure resilient health systems for generations to come.
