A new resource for the Region
The World Health Organization (WHO) Western Pacific Region is launching a practical manual to help clinicians and health workers order the right diagnostic test, for the right patient, at the right time, and act on results in the right way.
Clinical diagnostic stewardship is a growing priority in the fight against antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Done well, it improves patient outcomes, strengthens AMR surveillance, and eliminates low-value care, including unnecessary and costly tests.
This manual puts practical guidance directly in the hands of those who need it most.
At this webinar, you will:
- Understand how the manual can strengthen diagnostic practice in your setting
- Hear from regional clinical experts through adult and paediatric case studies
- Learn how to promote and integrate the manual in your institution or country
Presentations
- Introduction of the WHO Clinical Diagnostic Stewardship Practical Manual
- Clinical diagnostic stewardship in adult care
- Clinical diagnostic stewardship in paediatric care
- Practical country example from the Region
Who should attend
Health workers, clinicians, hospital administrators, policy-makers, professional societies and training institutions across the Western Pacific Region are welcome to join the webinar.
